The Therapist Salon: Fostering Community and Continuing Education
Join us to engage, learn, and connect with fellow clinicians in a space designed to inspire, educate, and support.
Drawing inspiration from the original 1664 French salons, gatherings Horace described as aiming “either to please or to educate,” this series reimagines a space for the meaningful exchange of ideas. Historically, salons were vital for spreading Enlightenment thought, operating outside traditional structures to foster discussion, bridge social gaps, and explore new concepts.
Today, therapists face a different kind of challenge: the expectation to heal and hold space for others while navigating professional isolation, political polarization, and the pervasive influence of social media and big tech.
To address this, I am launching a bi-monthly Therapist Salon designed to build community, foster peer support, and provide practical professional development. Each session will offer continuing education (CE) credits and opportunities for interactive discussion, case consultation, and skill-building.
This is not a one-time event—it is a sustained commitment to connection and growth for the remainder of the year. Together, we will reflect on its impact in 2027 and determine its continuation.
